Services Pty Ltd. is committed to providing a work environment which encourages and maintains safety, health and well-being for all employees, contractors, customers and visitors. The commitment extends to ensuring that the company does not place the local community at risk of injury or illness.

Our Safety and Environmental Principles aim to:

  • Provide safe plant and systems of work;
  • Provide written procedures and instructions to ensure safe systems of work are implemented and maintained;
  • Ensure compliance with all lefisaltive requirements and current 'state of knowledge' standards;
  • Provide, as appropriate, employees, contractors and customers with regular information, instruction, training and supervision to ensure their safety;
  • Ensure a commitment to safety is established and agreed upon with all workers and contractors prior to commencement of work ;
  • Provide support mechanisms to assist employees with maintaining or improving their physical and psychological health and well-being;
  • Pursue zero injuries and work illnesses through the elimination of work related injuries;
  • Recycle packaging and materials where possible while also being aware of the impact these materials have on the environment.

Accountabilities
S.C. Services Pty Ltd. recognises that the company has the overall responsibility to provide a safe workplace. Each team leader will be held accountable for implementing this policy in their area of responsibility via performance reviews. These responsibilities encompass:

  • Providing and maintaining the workplace in a safe condition;
  • Ensuring all work health and safety procedures are implemented;
  • Actively promoting and being involved in those procedures;
  • Actively participating in the rehabilitation of employees injured at work;
  • Providing the resources to meet their health and safety commitment;
  • Retaining records and reporting on prevention, training, injury and incidents

Employees will ensure that they:

  • Follow all procedures;
  • Report all injuries and accidents;
  • Report all hazards to their team leader.

S.C. Services Pty Ltd. has total commitment to encouraging consultation and co-operation between all parties within the company.

We are all responsible for the health and safety of ourselves and of others who may be affected by our actions. This policy will be reviewed as required to reflect changes in the organisation or Health and Safety legislation.

Targets:

  • To have NO Lost Time Injuries (LTI) in a one year period - Annual
  • To reduce minor incidents (that have not incurred LTI) by 20% pro-rata in a one year period - Annual
  • To recycle packaging and materials where possible, including donating items to local charities so the items can be re-used - Ongoing
